For the past three weeks, a former MLA of the Indian National Lok Dal has held off the Haryana Police who are trying to arrest him and fellow accused on charges of indiscriminate firing that left one dead and eight injured. However, even as Bali Pehalwan, who once represented the Meham constituency, remains …holed up inside, the police are afraid to enter because of his supporters who have ringed the house in village Mokhra in Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s home district Rohtak. As of now, he has agreed to surrender, but on his own terms.
