Four armed men with covered faces looted cash worth Rs 4.26 lakh at the gunpoint from the bank near Hampi here.
The police party promptly reached the bank and collected information about the robbers yesterday.
The culprits carried pistol in their hands and first thrashed the peon of the bank on entrance thereby making way to Sugan Saini, manager of the bank.
The robbers subsequently asked the manager to open up the cash chest.
Before leaving the bank the desperados snatched the cellphone of the manager, the police added.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Garg, ASP, collected the photos of the robbers from the cctv cameras of the bank. Further investigation was on.
