Constables to get enhanced pay in Punjab from Sept
Over 70,000 constables of Punjab Police will get fatter pay packets from September with the state government today issuing notification revising their pay scales as per the recommendations of 5th Punjab Pay commission.
The constables will get revised pay scale from September one, an official spokesman said.
He said the initial pay of constables would now become Rs 8,240 as compared to Rs 7,800 previously.
