Kin of Maruti violence accused claim their innocence
In the Maruti Manesar plant violence case, relatives of the accused have claimed their innocence.
An uncle of one of the accused, Yogesh, says he was at home when workers burnt alive a manager of the company and ransacked the office. He says Yogesh’s only fault is that he is an office-bearer of the workers’ union. The accused is in five days’ police remand. Three other accused are absconding, but their kin refuse to believe the police, saying they had no hand in the arson.
