Man allegedly shot dead by girl’s brother and his aide

In Hoshiarpur, A man was shot dead by two unknown assailants in Bassi Kikkara village last evening. Rajinder Badhan alias Sonu had been alerted of the probable danger by his girl friend through Facebook.

She had clearly mentioned in the message that her brother was in town and that he must be careful. She had also asked Sonu’s friend Makhan Singh to warn him, but before he could, Sonu had been shot dead. Makhan also told the police, that Sonu was a Dalit, while his girl friend belonged to another caste. The police is suspecting it to be a case of honour killing.
