Mukherjee recieved by Haryana CM in Chandigarh
Security in Chandigarh had been beefed up in view of UPA nominee for the post of President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit.
Police personnel were stationed at strategic points across Chandigarh. Even though there was not much traffic on Sunday, whatever there was well managed? Pranab Mukhrejee was welcomed at the airport by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and senior officials of the Chandigarh administration.
The route was cleared for the cavalcade as soon as Pranab Mukherjee landed in Chandigarh at around 3:30 PM. With motorists being stopped, many commuters seemed visibly unhappy.
