Sushil vows to give best at London Olympics

Wrestler Sushil Kumar  thanked the IOA for choosing him as India’s flag bearer for the opening ceremony of the London Olympics and vowed to give his best at the biggest sporting event.

“I am thankful to the people of the country that they have shown faith in me. With this honour also comes the responsibility to deliver at the Olympics. I am quite hopeful, we will be able to give our best at the Olympics,” Sushil told PTI after arriving from the US after attending a training camp.

IOA announced Sushil’s name as flag bearer here early today, ending suspense over who will do the honours.

Sushil is a bronze medallist at the Beijing Games.
