Woman, son injured after being hit by truck

An elderly woman and her son were seriously injured when a speeding truck hit the bike they were travelling in Industrial Area, Chandigarh.

Traffic police personnel were trying to flag down the truck when the driver speeded up in an attempt to escape. He fled the spot after the accident. The victims were rushed to GMCH 32. The condition of the woman is said to be critical.
