In Himachal, Body of a laborer has been recovered from river Beas near Patlikul leading to fears that many more laborers working at the Rohtang tunnel may have been washed away in flashfloods triggered by cloudburst in the Seri Nullah area last night.
Three people who went missing near Rangri town due to floods are yet to be traced. The local administration has now advised people to use Naggar route to reach Manali as floods have damaged the national highway from several parts. Most of the footbridges in the Solang khad downstream too have been damaged. Meanwhile, the administration has evacuated people from Nehru Kund, Palchan and Bahang villages where the floods are reported to have caused maximum damage washing away homes, bridges and shops. A red alert has been sounded in the area.
