DGP Rathore to get provisional pension for now
Haryana’s former DGP S.P.S. Rathore, convicted in the Ruchika molestation case, will get provisional pension and health benefits for now.
The division Bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court today directed the payment of provisional pension and health benefits, subject to the outcome of the criminal appeal pending before the Supreme Court. The Union Government had ordered Rathore’s pension to be stopped, after he was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment. The Central Administrative Tribunal had directed for restoration of pension to Rathore December 8 last year, which was challenged before high court.
