MCM DAV College held gala party to welcome freshers

Seniors of MCM DAV College held a gala party to welcome freshers — with none other than Harbhajan Mann entertaining the girls.

The new academic session has started and in colleges that means the traditional round of parties for freshers party. On Saturday, senior students of MCM DAV College for Women gave a warm welcome to the freshers. Chief guest for the event was singer-actor Harbhajan Mann. He applauded the MCM students’ superlative show of talent and he also took the stage himself to belt out a selection of Punjabi and Hindi numbers. Several of the songs were from Mann’s soon-to-be-released album, Satrangi Peengh.

Ravnoor was adjudged Miss Fresher. Principal Puneet  Bedi told the freshers that MCM DAV has a unique place among all the colleges of the city and the institution leaves an indelible impression on its students. She told them that in later life they would often hear people say ‘she’s an MCM DAV girl’ and it would be a matter of pride for them.
