SJVN’s Nathpa Jhakri station creates power generation record
The 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station of Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has created a new monthly record by generating 1,186 million units electricity in July.
This is 35 million units more than earlier highest monthly power generation of 1,151 MU.
The plant also recorded highest ever single day generation of 39.015 million units on July 27 and achieved the highest Plant Availability Factor (PAF) of 108 per cent in the current financial year.
Against the target of 7,000 million units for 2012-13, the power station has so far generated 3,305 million units.
