Forest department employee dies of electrocution
In Gurdaspur, a forest department employee died of electrocution this morning.The deceased, who has been identified as Gurpreet Singh, came in contact with live wires while planting sapplings near a transformer in village Tibri.
Gurpreet was working in the village as part of ‘Green Punjab Mission’. The kin of the deceased and the villagers are blaming Powercom’s alleged negligence for causing the death. Powercom, SDO on the other hand has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
