Gambhir injured during warm-up match against Sri Lanka
India received major jolt ahead of the ICC T20 world cup 2012 as opener Gautam Gambhir injured during the 1st warm-up game against Sri Lanka today.
Gambhir, who walked in the middle to bat along with Virender Sehwag, was hit by the Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga on the third delivery of the first over. Gambhir was immediately taken to the nearby hospital for scan after being hit on his hand. However, it is yet to be confirmed that the injury is serious or not. Meanwhile, India beat Sri Lanka by 26 runs in the match as while chasing 146 runs, the islanders were all out for 120.
