Unidentified throws acid at boy in Chandigarh
A youth sustained burns after an unidentified man threw acid at him at his mobile phone shop in Sector 22, Chandigarh.
Sources said the victim, Amit Verma, was working at the shop when someone called him. When Amit turned, the man threw acid on him and fled. The boy was rushed to PGI by his colleague. Drops of the acid fell on the foot of a girl standing nearby. She is out of danger. Meanwhile, Amit denied any hostility with anyone, except for a group of boys from Ram Darbar with whom he recently had an altercation.
