Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is to visit Panjab University on Thursday. Preparations are being made at the varsity and students are looking forward to talking to Rahul.
On Thursday, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will address students on the Panjab University campus, where the National Students’ Union of India will hold a rally. The Panjab University Campus Students’ Council and the Punjab unit of the National Students’ Union of India has organised the visit of Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi to the campus. Varsity authorities are gearing up for the high profile visit.
The Congress general secretary will have an informal interaction with students. Rahul Gandhi’s last visit to the university was in 2009. However, this time, some student groups are opposing Rahul’s visit. They feel Rahul using University grounds will set a bad precedent with political leaders making a beeline for the campus. Many students are also planning to greet the Congress General Secretary with protests.
