Man claiming to be police constable arrested with smack
A man, who later claimed to be a police constable during interrogation, was arrested with his accomplice today and narcotic substance along with a revolver were recovered from them, police said.
The accused Jaswinder Singh and Kiranvir Singh were arrested near Hansali Road after being chased down by a police team when they did not stop at a check post, they said. During questioning, Kiranvir claimed he was working with Haryana police as constable, they said, adding that 25 gram smack, besides a .38 bore revolver were recovered from them. A case under various sections of narcotics act has been registered against the accused and further investigation into the case is on, they said.
