Stray dogs in Panchkula being sterilised
The Panchkula Municipal Corporation has launched a drive to sterilize stray dogs. It is hoped that the drive will help check the spiraling stray dog menace.
After months of complaints, the civic body in Panchkula has finally taken note of the spiraling canine population. Stray dogs in Panchkula number about 3,000. Hopefully, the sterilization drive will help bring things under control. For the past three weeks around 12 dogs are sterilized every day.
As part of the agreement drawn with the pet clinic in Sector 3, the freshly sterilized dogs are kept in the clinic for a week for them to recuperate.
