Sharing heartfelt sympathies and solidarity with thousand of Punjabi families which have been rendered homeless following a recent sandy hurricane in the eastern coast of America, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today asked the Center to issue necessary directions to the Indian Embassy there for the rehabilitation and resettlement of the affected families.
Expressing satisfaction over the relief measures extended by the USA administration, Mr. Badal said that these efforts have considerably lessen the extent of damage caused to life and property in this natural calamity. He also appreciated the management committees of Gurdwaras located in the vicinity of affected States in America by organizing relief camps for providing succor to the affected families.
Mr. Badal appealed to the various religious, social and philanthropic organizations especially the leaders and workers of SAD in USA to come forward in the aid of affected people in this hour of crisis.
